Terms & Conditions

  • Last updated: 24 September 2026

The agreement between you and the academy when you enrol, subscribe or use this platform — in plain English, with no small print traps.

1. About these terms

Anchor Maritime Trading and Services ("we", "us") operates this website and the associated e-learning academy. By enrolling, subscribing or using the platform you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Questions about anything here can be sent to contact@anchormaritimeservice.co.uk — a person replies within one working day.

2. Enrolment and access

Access to course content — including the question bank, revision library and any downloadable materials — is granted to the named account holder only and runs for the subscription period you select at checkout.

Activation codes issued by the academy are single-use, may carry an expiry date, and are bound to one student account. Sharing account credentials or codes is not permitted and may end access without refund.

3. Payments and VAT

Prices are quoted excluding VAT, which is added at checkout where applicable. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your card details.

Subscriptions are one-off payments for the stated access period. They do not renew automatically and we do not store card details for future charges.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided you have not completed more than a nominal portion of the course. After 14 days, subscriptions are non-refundable.

If your oral examination is moved or rescheduled, contact the office — access extensions for rescheduled exams are granted free of charge at our discretion.

5. Student conduct and materials

Course materials, question banks, revision notes and PDFs are provided for your personal study only. You may not redistribute, resell, publish or share them, in whole or in part, with anyone who is not enrolled.

Please engage with clinics, tutors and other students courteously. We may suspend access for conduct that abuses staff, tutors or other students.

6. Intellectual property

All content on this website — text, graphics, questions, teaching materials and branding — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.

7. Pass rates and outcomes

We are a training provider, not an examination authority. Certification decisions rest solely with the MCA and your flag administration. We make no guarantee of examination outcomes; our published pass rates describe historical cohorts and are not a promise of individual results.

8. Availability

We aim for continuous availability of the platform and schedule maintenance at quiet hours. We do not accept liability for access interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, but paying students affected by prolonged outages receive equivalent access extensions.

9. Changes to the service and these terms

Course content is improved and updated continuously; the subscription you buy is for the academy as a whole rather than for any fixed list of modules.

If we change these terms we will update the date below. Material changes are notified to enrolled students by email.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
